Please read these Terms carefully before using Tiket. By creating an account or purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you have any questions, contact us at legal@tiket.africa.
By accessing or using the Tiket platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including buyers, organizers, and visitors. Tiket reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
Organizers creating events or receiving payouts must be at least 18 years of age and must provide valid identity and bank account information for verification purposes.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your password or allow others to access your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Tiket reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
You agree to notify Tiket immediately at support@tiket.africa if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
When you purchase a ticket through Tiket, you are entering into a transaction with the event organizer. Tiket acts as the payment facilitator and ticketing platform, not as the event organizer.
A 3% service fee is added to the ticket price at checkout. This fee covers payment processing and ticket delivery infrastructure.
Ticket purchases are subject to the specific refund and transfer policies set by the event organizer, which are displayed on the event page before purchase. Tiket will process refunds only in accordance with the organizer's stated policy, or in cases where an event is cancelled by the organizer.
In the event of organizer cancellation, Tiket will issue a full refund of the ticket price plus the service fee within 7 business days.
By creating an event on Tiket, you agree to the following:
You are solely responsible for the event, including its organisation, safety, compliance with applicable laws, and delivery of what was advertised to ticket buyers.
A 1.5% fee will be deducted from your payout. Payouts are processed after the event concludes. Tiket reserves the right to withhold payouts pending investigation of disputes or suspected fraud.
You must not create events that are misleading, illegal, or violate any third-party rights. Tiket reserves the right to remove any event that violates these Terms without prior notice.
You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, licences, and permissions required for your event.
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws - Create fraudulent events or sell counterfeit tickets - Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform - Scrape, copy, or redistribute Platform data without written permission - Resell tickets at inflated prices without explicit organizer consent - Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the Platform - Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt Platform services - Use automated tools to bulk purchase tickets or manipulate availability
All content on the Platform — including the Tiket name, logo, design, software, and original text — is the property of Tiket and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as event images and descriptions), but grant Tiket a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
Tiket is a platform that connects buyers and event organizers. We are not the organizer of any event listed on the Platform and are not liable for:
- The quality, safety, or legality of any event - Actions or omissions of event organizers - Loss or damage arising from attending an event - Technical issues beyond our reasonable control
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tiket's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid in fees to Tiket in the 30 days preceding the claim.
If you have a dispute with an event organizer, please contact us at support@tiket.africa. We will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving disputes but are not obligated to do so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Nigeria.
Tiket reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we believe your actions pose a risk to other users or the Platform.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@tiket.africa.
